What is Covered
A flat-rate attendance fee is charged: you pay the same irrespective of the number of days booked. The fee includes attendance at the conference incl. conference materials, interpreting service, refreshments during breaks and lunch as well as participation in our evening event. Costs incurred by the participant in traveling to and from the venue, accommodations, or transfers to the event location are not included in the fee.
The participant can register with SCHEMA in writing, by fax or online. Registration for the event is binding as soon as the participant receives a confirmation. An invoice for the attendance fee of €299 net, will be sent to you in paper form by post. Unfortunately, it is not possible to reimburse participants for non-attendance at any part of the event, e.g. not going to the evening event. Similarly, several participants cannot attend different parts of the event under one booking.
You can cancel your registration at any time up to 13.04.2019 without incurring any costs. Following this date, the full attendance fee will be due. Cancellation must be made by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. The attendance fee will not be reimbursed because of non-attendance or leaving the conference early. You can put forward the name of a different attendee at any time at no charge. Statutory right of revocation for private end users remains unaffected by the above provisions.
Changes to the Event
The right to make changes to the program, to replace speakers as well as to cancel the conference due to low demand or forces outside our control is expressly reserved. In case that the conference is canceled, visitors will be notified immediately, and any payments already made will be reimbursed without delay. Any other claims by attendees will not be admitted.
Photographic and Video Recordings
By registering, you give your consent for photographs, images, text and sound recordings to be made of you. Subject to statutory requirements, these recordings may be used by the SCHEMA Group without limitation.
SCHEMA will also store, process and use personal data relating to the attendee for the purposes of order fulfillment and for its own purposes. SCHEMA also uses automatic data processing systems for this purpose. For the purpose of compliance with the data privacy requirements of the system pursuant to § 9 BDSG, SCHEMA has implemented technical organizational measures to guarantee the security of the database and of the data processing procedures. The employees entrusted with the processing are obliged to uphold the BDSG and are committed to strict adherence to the entirety of existing data privacy provisions. When you register for the SCHEMA-Conference, you agree to the saving, processing and use of your personal data. In this regard, please be aware that you may withdraw your consent at any time electronically (email@example.com) or in writing (SCHEMA Consulting GmbH Hugo-Junkers-Str. 15-17, 90411 Nürnberg).
SCHEMA shall be liable for damages – no matter which legal basis they are based upon – only if it has caused such damages deliberately or through gross negligence or if it has negligently violated an essential contractual obligation ("major obligation"). SCHEMA's liability in cases of the violation of essential contractual obligations shall always be only for the damages which are contractually typical and foreseeable at the time the contract was concluded. Insofar as SCHEMA is liable for damages resulting from negligence in cases of violation of essential contractual obligations, its obligation to pay compensation is however limited in terms of amount per incident to: EUR 10,000.00 for damage to property. Liability for damage which has been caused by violation of non-essential contractual obligations resulting from simple carelessness is excluded. Furthermore, liability for consequential damages, lost profits or property damage is excluded. The liability exclusion or liability limitation does not apply for injuries to life, limb or health nor for claims arising from a quality guarantee or pursuant to the Product Liability Law. The participant shall notify SCHEMA without delay of any damages for which SCHEMA is allegedly liable. Insofar as claims for damage against SCHEMA are excluded or limited, this shall also apply for the personal liability of the official, experts and other employees as well as to SCHEMA's subcontractors and vicarious agents.
